An opulent and luxurious choice, velvet has often been associated with nobility. It has a unique handle and look and is very popular for winter brides, bridesmaids and theatre costumes. Faux Furs are every bit has comfortable and luxurious as their natural versions.
VELVET FABRIC FOR WEDDING DRESS DESIGNS
We offer silk velvet in a beautiful variety of textures and tones, in order to meet your requirements for any dress, cape or suit design.Though velvet is not seen as the most traditional of fabrics to make wedding dresses or bridesmaids dresses it has seen a resurgence in the last year or two. For weddings in colder climates a palette of earthy toned bridesmaids dresses or capes in velvet is very on trend in bridal. The bride herself can benefit from a dress, bridal cape or jacket in a plush ivory with a soft and smooth pile. As well as silk velvet, we also offer a cotton version and a stretch velvet in ivory which has also proved popular in the world of dance costumes.
WHAT KIND OF VELVET ARE YOU LOOKING FOR?
Different ranges of velvet are available for unique creations in various tones. Indulgence luxury velvet has a lovely range of colors, including olive green, red, purple or gray, or white. 114 cm wide, this quality is woven in a blend of silk and viscose.A more budget friendly choice for a velvet is a velvet cotton fabric. For the creation of corsets, skirts or jackets, or if you are looking for an ideal fabric to make Emperor , with its 148 cm width, may also be suitable. There are three colours in tis range including a decadent claret red.
We also offer a range of a crushed velvet called Ruffle available in over 14 colours. This has proved especially popular with mother of the bride and those looking for a more alternative fabric for their wedding day.
Lastly, as mentioned above, for any 'dance moms' or ice skating divas we have a stretch velvet called Plush, that as well as being soft, smooth and cosy, will also meld itself to the movements of the wearer because of its elastance content.
