Here at Bridal Fabrics we stock a phenomenal range of crystal motifs that really do add the wow factor to any garment. Often embellished with diamantes, beads or pearls or a combination, these appliques can be used to add sparkle to any wedding gown or special occasion dress. They are used at the shoulders for wedding capes, for necklines, waist or hip and also on the chest or shoulder or on the back. Though we are unable to sample these gorgeous accessories we do offer them on a sale or return basis so if you can inspect the motif on receipt and return it if it's not quite right (please see terms and conditions).

WHICH CRYSTAL APPLIQUE SHOULD I CHOOSE?

Your choice of beaded motif is all about your own style and preferences however there are a few other considerations to bear in mind. Firstly, you need to consider the size of the applique and where you want it to go. We add measurements to the descriptions for you to evaluate the size of each appliques before making your purchase.

For example Constellation crystal motifs are perfect for the shoulder fastening of a bridal cape whereas Gallia applique would be too large for this and would be better at the hip as a focal point pulling layered fabric away from the tummy area. Please also consider that many of the motifs are not symmetrical so if you are planning on using them in pairs you need to again consider placement on the garment. HOW DO I ATTACH A CRYSTAL APPLIQUE TO A GARMENT?

Most of our crystalized motifs are heavily beaded so if you tried to sew with a machine you would break the needle so they need to be hand sewn with a robust and longer than average needle. Most of the appliques are on a tulle base which makes them relatively straightforward to sew onto a fabric base of any garment. They need to be securely sewn in place around the edges so that sections do not 'lift' away from the garment.
